Gueéch bishiuű: flowers of the desert

This rug was woven by my mom Leonor Lazo Gonzalez; I helped her to weave it a little bit whenever I had a break from farmwork. It was woven in the traditional style of the Benizaa people, the main symbol is the eye of the feather serpent that becomes awaken when we live a balanced life. Our elders teach us that balance and harmony is the source of love and wisdom.
