Materials and Methods: criollo sheep wool hand dyed with color fast aniline dyes. Handwoven on a Zapotec style loom of the 16th century adapted from European styles. Woven using a 7 threads per inch reed.

Patterns and symbols: the hexagonal arrangement is inspired in the bee's honey comb and in the same hexagonal shapes from cristal rocks found around the sacred mountain, guardian of our village. Our word for rock is Guiea while our word for flowers is Guie'a; maybe the rocks (crystals) are the flowers of the earth. It is interesting to think and meditate about the relations that our ancestors noticed in the natural world, it often leads to insights and deep understanding of our surroundings.
