Materials and methods: yute fiber hand dyed with beæ (cochineal). Handwoven on a Zapotec style loom of the 16th century adapted from European styles. Woven using a 7 threads per inch reed and a hemp warp.
Desing, patterns and symbols. Four life cycle symbols create a center diamond that represents the sun. The half diamond is a symbol for venus and the return of Quetzalcoatl, the feather snake.
