Mario Martinez Mendez wove these two rugs to support his family; he ussually weaves for other families that export rugs but they have stopped hiring them for work. Mario has a repair bike shop as a side business but even that gig is slow these days. His wife buys our corn to make tortillas to sell in the local market, we get freshly hand made soft tortillas in return every morning. We are happy to help put their work out there in the internet. Support native families, support native local businesses by buying directly from our community.
